In the world of interior design, decoration and renovation, we can all agree that nothing is impossible and even the oldest and ugliest buildings can come to life with a touch of the right elements. For sure experts are required for any kind of remodelling and renovating process because it is one thing to have a beautiful image of our home, and another thing to make the images become a reality.
You are probably used to hearing about house transformation stories but this idea book presents you with something different. Can you imagine renovating a village into luxury accommodation? That’s what we are going to be discussing in this book of ideas. The talented professionals at Arte dell’arbitare chose to renovate an entire village and turn it into something of class and comfort,
The foundation of this project was the selection of a few unique, natural materials that served as an evocative tool to connect the interior and external areas and give each place a fresh feeling of time. The interior design of this project was crucial to preserving and enhancing the old village's history, which they were able to successfully revive.
Now, why don’t we take a tour of the awesome renovation and transformation?
The concept that change is dynamic also applies to buildings, and for this reason, you see a lot of old houses or commercial buildings being renovated to fit into modernity. One thing we should note is that irrespective of change being constant, you can choose to leave a few ancient structures or designs and renovate places that require renovation.
The point of doing this is to keep in touch with the ancient vibe while also embracing modernity. As we can see in the image, some old buildings are about to be transformed.
The goal of Residenze Roccapipirozzi is to restore and revitalise Roccapipirozzi's historic mediaeval centre, which was in danger of being lost to abandonment and population decline. Resurfacing ancient dwellings and highlighting the area's tangible and intangible legacy are two of the careful steps being taken to maintain the integrity of this historic community.
As we said earlier, you don’t have to lose the sense of history simply because of renovation, and this is why professional landscape architects play a vital role in this type of process.
All thanks to technology, it is now possible to have a visualisation of how we intend our houses to look. The plan of a house makes it possible to allocate space and fit the right elements in each of the allocated spaces. The layout of this accommodation already gives an idea of what the final project would look like.
The Arte dell'arbitare project is predicated on a meticulous examination of how internal spaces are distributed following the village's historical legacy and the evolving requirements of visitor accommodations.
The unique features of the newly designed areas, which are intended to serve as tourist accommodations, are centred on the variations in sizes, shapes, and levels that imply a customised layout for every dwelling unit.
As we've already mentioned, it's possible to prioritise modernity while yet including elements of the past. To preserve a historical and artistic connection in harmony with the expert restoration of the exteriors, we decided to employ stone, wood, and terracotta as the primary materials in this image.
The simplicity of the roles each element plays in this room makes it outstanding. The white curtains that are attached to the bed help this room to maintain its ancient look. Also, we can notice how the colours are perfectly blending in this room. The theme suggests monochrome, even with the grey cupboard that is positioned opposite the bed.
Every room has the imagined ambience brought to life by the flooring, tapestries, colours and bathroom furniture and accessories. The perfect merge of ancient and modern in this space makes it very intriguing. The console sink and the bathtub make this space stand out in particular.
