Fantastic villas and houses

We have curated an idea book with a collection of diverse houses that we consider to be the most beautiful houses in all of Germany—and perhaps even the most beautiful houses in the world. Beauty, of course, is subjective and can vary from person to person. For us, we have taken into consideration factors such as the architecture and craftsmanship, as well as the layout and design of single-family homes. Since different regions in Germany have their own unique styles of architecture, there is no such thing as a single house of Germany. Instead, there are many different styles to choose from. We invite you to take a look at our collection and explore the beauty of German architecture.

The beauty and attractiveness of a house also include little noise and good sound. In the following idea book, you will learn how you can reduce noise and ensure a quiet home.

Berlin

We begin our tour of the most beautiful houses in Germany in the capital, more precisely near Berlin, where our experts from C95 ARCHITEKTEN built this black gem that combines loft living and life in the country to create a unique living experience. The central motif of the cubic building is the elevated living space, from which the spatial structure is built up like an angle. The dark brown, almost black wooden facade references the oak trunks on the property and gives the 250 sqm single-family home a strong presence, while the large sliding glass doors erase the boundaries between inside and outside.

Sylt

We see a completely different picture on Sylt. On Germany's northernmost island, the architecture is characterized by traditional thatched roofs, which give the beautiful houses there their very own, rustic charm. The house in the photo was professionally staged by Immofoto-Sylt and enchanted with its elegant and homely island flair. Roofers cover a classic thatched roof. There are also characteristic lattice windows, cosy dormers and picturesque shutters. A real dream home for everyone who loves traditional buildings and beautiful houses with regional charm.

Muenster

Things are much more modern in Münster. Here, architects Spiekermann planned and implemented a horseshoe-shaped bungalow for their customers, which appears close to the outside with grey brick and aluminium and opens towards the garden with large glass surfaces to its surroundings. The U-shape of the building and the atrium, which is enclosed on three sides, create exciting visual connections and the popular fusion of indoor and outdoor areas that, for many of us, make for beautiful homes these days.

Potsdam

In exciting contrast to the popular Bauhaus designs is this historic villa, which was rebuilt, renovated and modernized in Potsdam by CG VOGEL ARCHITEKTEN. The project aimed to transform the run-down building from 1871 into a sophisticated and modern home for a family of four and to adapt it to today's demands for comfortable living without destroying the late classicist charm. The result: an impressive residence that shows its history but not its age. The villa more than deserves its place in our list of beautiful houses.

Bad Vilbel

Beautiful houses don't always have to be Bauhaus villas or historical residences. Even the normal single-family home is now far from stuffy and boring, as this Bad Vilbel model home from Schwabenhaus shows. This is an energy-efficient single-family home in which sustainable, health-friendly building and insulation materials were used. With its classic gable roof, it fits into almost any development plan but retains its own, contemporary character thanks to its modern design language and open design. On 220 square meters, the dream of comfortable, modern living comes true thanks to spacious windows and an open floor plan.

Nuremberg

Our Beautiful Houses journey takes us to Nuremberg, where a modern wooden house is waiting for us, designed by the architects Jenohr + Mezger. With its cubist design language, flat roof and large windows, the building is based on the popular Bauhaus style, but its light wooden facade gives it a very cosy, warm and natural touch. Wooden houses are becoming increasingly popular because they impress with numerous advantages such as sustainability, naturalness and healthy living. What's special: Since wood acquires a natural patina over time, the appearance of the house changes over the years and further enhances its individual character.

Hanover

Hanover often has to struggle with the reputation of being boring and staid—of course completely wrong, Lower Saxony's capital has a lot to offer. Beautiful houses, for example, like this modern single-family home, which completely reinterprets the half-timbered house concept. Our experts at Davinci Haus build beautiful buildings made of wood and glass under the motto People and nature belong together, which are reminiscent of traditional half-timbered houses and enable their residents to enjoy a contemporary lifestyle. The natural building materials wood and glass as a transparent medium create new perspectives and ensure that you can always experience the garden and the surrounding area up close in the house. Openness, generosity and the unity of inside and outside are the focus of these feel-good houses.

Bavaria

When you think of Bavarian architecture, do you think of rustic farms, lavishly decorated wooden balconies, gables, large roof overhangs and blockwork on brick, white plastered bases? Then we'll show you now that it can be done differently and in a much more modern way. The single-family home by ARC Architects Partnership was built in the immediate vicinity of three listed farmhouses and adapts perfectly to the structure of the farms but in a very purist, reduced and innovative way. The hillside location was optimally utilized. The living rooms and a terrace are located on the upper floor, while the ground floor houses the individual rooms. Nowadays, beautiful houses are often defined by the fact that they integrate seamlessly and harmoniously into their surroundings.

Uckermark

We end our architectural tour of Germany in the Uckermark. The beautiful house that is waiting for us here was awarded House of the Year 2014 and stands on a 5000 square meter property that is surrounded by lakes that are ideal for swimming and walking. The design takes up a reference to nature, which is expressed on the one hand in the materials used and on the other hand in the design language, which is reminiscent of a farm. In addition, the building opens up to the outside space with floor-to-ceiling windows, thereby merging even more with the surrounding nature.
